Their debut album Flow State landed in 2018 and quickly became Gold. Not one instrumental guitar album sounded like this at the time, totally unique and totally setting the standard for todays fusion guitar landscape. Greg isn’t afraid to mix up styles of playing, mixing written parts with heavily improvised parts. Kill 'Em All is still one of my all time favorite albums. Their now-famous busking sessions on Melbournes Bourke Street catapulted them into. The album is a melting pot of awesomeness. This entire album is an exploration of what can be done with a guitar. Of course for some true old school heavy metal shredding one needs not look much further than Metallica's first 3 albums (Kill 'Em All, Ride the Lightning and Master of Puppets). He surfs around the neck of his guitar, combining lyrical melodies with virtuosic explorations of shredding and performance dexterity. From the blues rock riffing of ‘Young Lust’, to the washy acoustics of ‘Hey You’ and the iconic, harmonic-heavy solo at the end of ‘Comfortably Numb’, this has to be one of the greatest of all time. With David Gilmour’s beautiful playing present in a variety of shapes and sizes throughout, this is definitely not one to miss.
